Security Research Engineer, AI Safety and Security Engineering
NVIDIA, widely recognized as one of the world’s most desirable employers, believes open-weight models are foundational to American AI leadership, cybersecurity, and defense through broad scientific scrutiny. As part of this mission, our AI Safety & Security Engineering team builds and evaluates AI-powered tooling that finds, validates, and patches software vulnerabilities, recognizing that finding a bug is only the beginning. We are seeking a Security Research Engineer to advance our Validate and Patch capabilities by establishing what counts as a confirmed vulnerability and defining what constitutes a truly correct, safe fix. In this critical role, you will apply rigorous security judgment to well-defined categories of vulnerabilities. These affect NVIDIA-internal targets. You will turn complex analysis into repeatable methods that improve software people rely on daily. Validation here requires meticulous care to confirm reports are real and reachable rather than noise, while patching requires ensuring fixes repair flaws, protect existing behavior, and hold up under strict revalidation. Working alongside harness and evaluation engineers, you will establish high engineering standards, document your reasoning for independent security reviews, and ensure your methods run reliably with fully traceable evidence. AI-assisted workflows are an integral part of this job, but so is maintaining a healthy, disciplined skepticism about their outputs. Beyond immediate fixes, your work will teach the entire program what trustworthy patching looks like while actively helping decide which vulnerability classes the team tackles next. Ultimately, we hold our results to an exceptionally high bar and value specific, verifiable proof of your technical expertise—such as CVEs, advisories, or original security tools—over polished phrasing. What You'll Be Doing: Validation methods: Develop techniques that confirm vulnerabilities are real and reachable. Patch methods: Advance approaches for generating and verifying safe fixes. Quality standards: Define correctness, regression, and revalidation standards with reviewers. Applied research: Work bounded vulnerability classes against internal targets. What We Need To See: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 12+ years in security research or software engineering. Security foundations: Hands-on vulnerability research, fuzzing, program analysis, or secure development in C, C++, or Python. Fix quality: Rigor about what makes a fix correct and safe, including regression and behavior preservation. AI-assisted workflows: Comfort using AI-assisted tools for analysis and development. Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd: Public research: CVEs, advisories, or publications in vulnerability research. Analysis tooling: Experience building or extending fuzzers, static analyzers, or symbolic-execution tools. Agentic ML: Familiarity with LLM-based coding or analysis agents. Cybersecurity Network Engineer
Our team members are the key to our company’s success, and their health and well-being, as well as that of their families, is very important to us. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that allows our team members stay healthy, plan for their future and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Benefits may vary with employment status. To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits Job Description: Overview At Seminole Hard Rock Support Services, we are on a mission to protect our guests, team members, and enterprise assets through world-class cybersecurity practices. As the Network Cybersecurity Engineer, you will implement, operate, and continuously improve the network security controls that defend traffic in, out, and across the enterprise — from the campus and data center edge to SASE, cloud networks, and the applications they carry — turning architecture and policy into running, automated, measurable defenses. Reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity Engineering, this role requires a hands-on, security-minded engineer who bridges the worlds of network engineering, cloud operations, and cybersecurity. You will configure and tune the enterprise network security stack — secure access service edge, perimeter and edge defenses, network detection and response, and zero-trust segmentation — and build the integrations and automations that connect it together across on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure (primary), Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud. This is a builder’s role, not an architecture role. You do not define standards from the sidelines; you take reference architectures and network security requirements and make them real: deploying and tuning controls, writing production-grade automation, and instrumenting the telemetry that turns raw network events into actionable insight. Your networking depth lets you treat traffic as evidence, and your fluency with AI and large language models lets you accelerate detection, triage, and analysis of network data far beyond manual effort. You will work across campus, data center, edge, remote access, and cloud network domains, partnering with architecture, IAM, infrastructure, application, and SOC teams to ensure network controls are deployed consistently, operate reliably, and improve continuously across all Seminole Hard Rock business units. You measure your impact in risks reduced, incidents prevented, and manual effort eliminated through automation. Responsibilities Secure Access & Edge (SASE) Deploy, configure, and tune secure-access service edge controls — secure web gateway, cloud firewall, CASB, and DLP policy — keeping coverage complete and policies current Operate zero-trust network access for workforce and third parties, replacing legacy VPN patterns with identity-aware, least-privilege application access Operate the enterprise browser to enforce least-privilege, isolated access to sensitive applications from managed and unmanaged endpoints via an enterprise browser platform Tune SSL/TLS inspection, tenant restrictions, and egress policy to balance security, privacy, and application compatibility — including protocols sensitive to interception such as NTLM, Kerberos, and certificate-pinned traffic Manage traffic steering, forwarding, and PAC configurations so users land on the right control path from any location worldwide Perimeter, WAF & Application Edge Manage edge and perimeter defenses: web application firewall rules, DDoS mitigation, bot management, CDN and DNS policy for internet-facing properties Operate API security posture and runtime protection, discovering shadow APIs and closing authentication and data-exposure gaps Administer next-generation firewall policy, NAT, and rule lifecycle across data center and property perimeters, driving rule hygiene and least-privilege access Harden DNS, certificate, and TLS posture at the edge in partnership with the PKI and infrastructure teams Coordinate perimeter changes with franchise, property, and vendor networks so remote sites integrate securely without breaking authentication or application flows Network Detection, Response & Visibility Deploy and tune network detection and response, triaging anomalous east-west and north-south activity and feeding high-fidelity findings to the SOC Engineer network telemetry pipelines — flow data, DNS logs, proxy logs, firewall logs, packet metadata — that route, shape, and enrich data for cost-effective analysis Develop and tune network-focused detections and SIEM content, mapping coverage to attacker techniques Investigate network-layer incidents end-to-end — from packet capture and flow analysis to proxy and firewall log correlation — isolating root cause under time pressure Maintain authoritative visibility of network assets and attack surface, continuously reconciling what is Lead Cyber Security & Compliance Engineer (Remote)
Who We Are Option One Technologies is a next-generation managed IT and cloud platform revolutionizing how financial services firms and institutions access best-in-class technology. Founded in 2019 by alumni from the Boston-based hedge fund Highfields Capital Management, we deliver white-glove managed services purpose-built for SEC-registered investment advisers, FINRA broker-dealers, hedge funds, and high-net-worth family offices. Our mission is to make enterprise-grade security, compliance, and infrastructure accessible to firms of every size — from established institutions to emerging managers. About the Role We are seeking a senior Cyber Security Engineer to own and advance the security posture of a regulated financial services environment. This is a hands-on role that blends day-to-day operational defense with compliance, user enablement, and offensive testing. You will be the connective tissue between our security tooling, our compliance obligations, and the people who rely on you to keep them safe. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable triaging a SIEM alert, walking a non-technical user through a phishing simulation result, scoping a penetration test, rolling out a new system to an entire firm, and mapping a control to a NIST subcategory. Strong communication and client relationship is not a "nice to have" here — it is central to the job. What You'll Do Security operations & monitoring — Operate and tune our SOC/SIEM stack, investigate alerts, triage incidents, and drive detection and response improvements. Reduce noise, increase signal, and document what you find. Endpoint & network defense — Administer and optimize SentinelOne (EDR), Cisco Umbrella and Zscaler (ZTNA / secure web gateway), including policy tuning, exclusions, threat hunting, and incident containment. Vulnerability management — Run and interpret recurring vulnerability scans, prioritize findings by real-world risk, coordinate remediation with IT and engineering, and track issues to closure. Microsoft 365 administration & security: Administer M365/Entra ID tenants across client firms, including identity and access management, Conditional Access, MFA enforcement, Purview retention and eDiscovery, and secure configuration baselines. Own tenant hardening and remediate Secure Score gaps. Penetration testing — Plan and perform internal and external penetration tests, document findings with clear severity and reproduction steps, and partner with stakeholders on remediation. Coordinate scope and results from third-party pen tests where applicable. Compliance & governance — Maintain and evidence controls for SOC 2 and NIST frameworks, and support compliance obligations specific to Registered Investment Advisors, Securities and Exchange Commission (e.g., RIAs/regulatory safeguarding and recordkeeping expectations). Prepare for and support audits. Create and assist customers with writing and maintaining ISP, BCPDR and other relevant policies, Security awareness & training — Own the KnowBe4 program: build phishing simulations, manage training campaigns, analyze results, and follow up with users. Work with employees daily to coach them on secure behavior in plain, approachable language. User-facing support — Serve as a trusted, patient point of contact for security questions across the business. Translate technical risk into terms any user can act on. Documentation & continuous improvement — Keep runbooks, policies, and procedures current. Recommend and implement improvements to tooling, process, and posture. What You'll Bring Required 4+ years in security engineering, security operations, or a closely related role (mid-to-senior range; depth matters more than exact years). Hands-on SOC / SIEM experience — alert triage, investigation, tuning, and detection logic. Working knowledge of and demonstrable experience with SentinelOne, Zscaler, Cisco Umbrella and KnowBe4 (or directly comparable EDR, ZTNA/SWG, and security-awareness platforms). Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Purview. Comfortable owning tenant-level configuration in a multi-client environment. Practical penetration testing ability and experience running/interpreting vulnerability scans and driving remediation. Solid understanding of SOC 2 and NIST (e.g., 800-53 / CSF) controls, evidence, and audit support. Familiarity with compliance considerations for Registered Investment Advisors or another regulated financial environment. Excellent written and verbal communication — you can teach, de-escalate, and explain risk to non-technical audiences, and you genuinely enjoy working with users every day. Preferred / Nice to Have Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, GPEN, GCIH, Security+, or equivalent. Experience with cloud security (AWS / Azure / GCP) and SaaS security posture. Scripting / automation (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for tooling and detection. Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or another highly regulated industry. Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (M365 Administrator), SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst), or SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator). What Success Looks Like First 90 days: Fluent in our tooling and alerting; vulnerability scan cadence and remediation tracking are healthy; first phishing campaign run and reported on. First 6 months: Measurable reduction in SIEM noise and open critical/high vulnerabilities; SOC 2 / NIST control evidence is organized and audit-ready; users recognize you as the go-to security resource. Why Join Option One Technologies High-impact, multi-disciplinary role — work at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, and financial services with some of the most sophisticated firms in the industry Accelerated professional growth — direct exposure to SEC/FINRA regulatory environments, advanced security tooling, and complex network architectures across a diverse client portfolio Entrepreneurial culture — small, senior team where your work directly shapes client outcomes and company direction Professional development budget to earn industry certifications and attend training Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible schedule; paid time off; hybrid work arrangement Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Pay: From $90,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance Experience: Writing Security Policies: 1 year (Required) Security User Training: 1 year (Preferred) DUO: 1 year (Preferred) KnowBe4: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
