Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Healthcare Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with large healthcare datasets to generate actionable insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making across clinical, operational, and business functions.
The ideal candidate has experience in data science, machine learning, healthcare analytics, and statistical modeling. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, business stakeholders, and technical teams to improve patient outcomes, optimize operations, and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets from electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, patient surveys, and operational systems.
- Develop machine learning and predictive analytics models to support healthcare initiatives.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and analytical solutions.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure data quality.
- Apply statistical techniques to evaluate healthcare outcomes and business performance.
- Support population health management, risk stratification, and predictive healthcare programs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, data science methodologies, and healthcare industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and statistical modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Understanding of healthcare data, EHR systems, claims data, or healthcare analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Experience working with healthcare organizations, hospitals, insurance providers, or healthcare technology companies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of NLP, predictive analytics, and AI applications in healthcare.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
