Job Summary

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated security solutions that enhance our organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and prevent cyber threats. This role focuses on reducing manual effort, improving response times, and strengthening overall security posture through automation and orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security automation workflows across detection, response, and remediation processes
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive cybersecurity tasks
• Integrate security tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanners) into unified automated workflows
• Build and maintain playbooks for incident response automation
• Collaborate with SOC, DevOps, and IT teams to streamline security operations
• Monitor automated systems and continuously optimize performance and accuracy
• Conduct threat analysis and improve automation based on emerging threats
• Ensure automation solutions comply with security standards and policies
• Document processes, workflows, and automation logic

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, EDR
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)
• Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, and integration techniques
• Understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR)
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, Security+, or GSEC
• Experience in threat intelligence integration and automation
