About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining secure network infrastructures to protect organizational systems, applications, and data from cyber threats. This role requires strong expertise in network security technologies, threat detection, incident response, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security solutions.
• Monitor network traffic and security events for suspicious activities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Implement security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of network infrastructure.
• Perform security hardening of routers, switches, servers, and cloud environments.
• Analyze emerging threats and recommend security improvements.
• Create and maintain security documentation and incident reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network security or cybersecurity roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, and switching technologies.
• Experience with security tools such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Check Point, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and penetration testing methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
