About the Team

We’re seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer specializing in LLMs and autonomous agents and agentic AI to join our AI team. You’ll be instrumental in developing and deploying intelligent agent systems that can understand context, make decisions, and execute complex tasks across our platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous agent systems with task reasoning, planning, and execution capabilities.
• Develop prompt engineering frameworks for reliable agent behavior and coordination in multi-agent environments.
• Build and maintain LLM-powered services using models like GPT-4, Claude, and internal models.
• Develop efficient prompt management systems and evaluation frameworks for optimizing agent performance.
• Optimize model infrastructure for low latency, high throughput, and reliable context handling.
• Deploy agent systems on Kubernetes with monitoring, logging, and scalable microservices architectures.
• Implement vector storage and retrieval systems for semantic search and efficient memory management.
• Build robust testing frameworks for agent behavior validation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure proficiency in LLM APIs, agent frameworks, Python, ML frameworks, distributed systems, and semantic search.

What we’re looking for

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in ML engineering
• Strong background in NLP and transformer architectures
• Experience with production ML systems
• Experience building autonomous agent systems
• Research experience in LLM alignment or safety
• Contributions to open-source LLM/agent projects
• Publications in NLP/ML conferences

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
